All races take place on TUESDAY at 7.00 PROMPT except Wauldby 8.4 which starts 6:30pm (*staggered starts)
Arrive by 6:30pm on first night to register and collect race numbers.

What is the Champagne League?

It is a series of 10 races organised by City of Hull running club. They are run on Tuesday evenings from various scenic locations, see below. Many of the runs are off road or on quiet country roads. The main race is a handicap race and therefore anyone could win it. There are various other categories of races and there are team prizes (teams consist of 3 people). In order to give yourself the best chance of winning prizes you need to run as many races as possible. Also, City of Hull really appreciate it when a runner makes it to most of the races.

Support

If any ladies can spare time to come to the races as supporters, please do. Marshals support is really appreciated, as is simply being there to hold jumpers and cheer the West Hull Ladies in. If you ve not been to the races before it will also give you the opportunity to find out what it is all about.

Winning Prizes

See attached Champagne League Explained for the various series races . The handicap and ladies handicap simply depends on you improving at each race. Yellow Jersey, if you make every race and do it fairly fast you should get a prize as so many people drop out because they cannot do all the races, it also includes age category prizes. Team prizes, you definitely have a chance of a prize so make up teams and give yourselves a whizzy name.
